I don't know about the piece on Ebay. The 1934 pieces were struck at the Chicago exposition in brass at the Ford exhibit. 104,934 were struck and sold for 5 cents. The 1933 medals were struck at a Ford show in Detroit. Again, the medals were struck in the Ford exhibit on a special press and given out as souvenirs. Reportedly, more than a million were given away free. (TAMS Journal, 22:6, 1982, pp. 221-222. "Ford Exposition Dollars" by Michael Denning)
