,

I have a question for Jeff. I saw Randy's HK-466 on eBay ( Item number: 251014038001) and was curious about the pock marks or voids in the lettering and was wondering if it could have been a cast piece? Does your piece have the same characteristics? Also the "sterling" edge mark looks different. Any thoughts?

Jeff has been busy with another project, but I suspect he'll be back here soon. We've both been hammered with no so-called events and it has slowed down the production of our next book. I'm between cataract surgeries, going good but it hampers my time at the computer and doing layout work as my close vision is compromised until I get the second eye done and get a prescription for reading/computer glasses. It is nice however to be able to see again out of at least one eye!

Bob, your comment remniscent of nervrmor on the companion piece HK-466. Think most thought fake but had odd sterling stamped on edge.

The silver plate HK-465 feels legit in hand (HK-465 spl)...no edge mark sterling or anything on this piece. I do see that John Raymond's website shows one changing hands per his records (http://www.socalleddollars.comstudy2ndED.html). It weights 15-16 grams raw and has a diameter of 34mm. I didn't pay anything extravagant (in my opinion) for the item relative to what could have been spent. Does anything think it is a fake?

still only one known

its twin is now listed
