Near TOP POP, the finest graded by NGC is 63. The Washington bust obverse design engraved by Soley is combined with the Liberty Bell reverse design engraved by Key. Both dies are unsigned. This and SH 2-12 with the Independence Hall reverse are the only Soley & Key die pairs, except for the scrolls reverse SH 2-7. H.W. Holland in an 1876 American Journal of Numismatics article titled “Centennial Medals” states that this was struck in silver, copper, and white metal; there is no mention of bronze. This is struck in copper.
