Near TOP POP, only seven certified by NGC and only two graded finer. This medal commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the departure of the Continental Army from Valley Forge. Authorized by Congress, designed and engraved by William Barber and struck in SILVER in 1880 at the Philadelphia Mint. Obverse features the bust of George Washington. This is one of the “Three Kings” of silver so-called dollars along with the Grant HK 12A and the Roosevelt HK 308.
