Rarely found toned, this medal is very original with mottled russet silver color on both sides. Struck in 1959 for the “Rush to the Rockies” Colorado Centennial. Official medal authorized by Congress and struck at the Philadelphia Mint. Obverse is the Official Centennial Emblem with a covered wagon scene. Reverse features the Seal of the United States Air Force Academy. Struck in SILVER.
