Spanish American War - U.S. Battleship Maine HK-285 and HK-286

PreviousPage 2 of 2

The Wolfville Western Days So Called Dollar is one of the most common. However, it is not listed as a multiple dies So Called. Attached is a Reverse Die A Gram using the silver variety used by the rodeo section of the Western Days extravaganza in Tucson and the copper variety used by the rest of the event to show that there are actually two reverse dies for this So Called Dollar. The 1st reverse die of the silver So Called Dollar pictured is the same as the reverse of the copper So Called Dollar pictured in the 2nd Edition. The different 2nd reverse die is actually on the copper piece pictured and is the rarer of the two reverse dies. The obverse dies on both pieces are the same.,

ATTACHED ARE PICTURES OF MY HK-286A AVENGERS OF THE MAINE SCD IN ALUMINUM GRADED MS 61.

THERE ARE ONLY A TOTAL OF (2) OF THIS TYPE LISTED IN THE NGC CENSUS AS OF 9/2019, BOTH OF THEM BEING MS 61'S.

THIS TYPE IS NOT LISTED IN THE 2ND EDITION OF THE SO-CALLED DOLLAR REFERENCE BOOK, BUT HAS BEEN GIVEN THIS HK# BY NGC.
